Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota seeks an ECMO Specialist to operate and maintain the ECMO circuit for patients requiring long-term pulmonary or cardiac support. The role works under ECMO Physician and Coordinator, coordinating care with the health care team to ensure optimal outcomes.

This position requires ICU/critical care experience as RN or RT, current RN or RT licensure in Minnesota, and BLS/ACLS (PALS as applicable). Flexibility to cover days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends is needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year ICU/critical care experience as RN or RT.
• Two years ICU/critical care experience preferred.
• Current state RN or RT licensure;
• BLS/ACLS required; PALS where applicable.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain ECMO circuit and equipment.
• Follow standing ECMO orders under physician and coordinator.
• Collaborate with care team to plan and deliver patient care.
• Identify and correct problems in ECMO procedures.
