Mayo Clinic is seeking an ECMO Specialist to operate and maintain ECMO circuits for patients requiring long-term pulmonary or cardiac support. The role requires RN or Respiratory Therapist with ICU/critical care experience and must follow physician/ECMO team direction.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year ICU or Critical Care experience as a Registered Nurse or Respiratory Therapist.
• Two years ICU/Critical Care experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the ECMO circuit and equipment for patients requiring long-term pulmonary or cardiac support.
• Monitor patient status and ECMO circuit; collaborate with ECMO physician and coordinator.
• Provide ECMO services per established policies and guidelines.
• Identify and correct problems related to ECMO procedures and ensure patient safety.
