Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking an ECMO Specialist to operate and maintain ECMO circuits for patients needing long-term respiratory or cardiac support. You will work under ECMO physician direction, coordinating with the health care team and ensuring patient safety.

Ideal candidates have ICU/critical care experience as an RN or RT, possess BLS/ACLS, and demonstrate strong communication and leadership in a team setting. This role offers full-time hours on site at Mayo Clinic campuses in Minnesota.

Qualifications

• RN or Respiratory Therapist with ICU/critical care experience required.
• Current RN license or equivalent professional credential; BLS/ACLS required; PALS as applicable.
• Ability to work in a team, adapt to shifts, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain ECMO circuit and equipment for long-term support.
• Follow standing orders under ECMO physician guidance and coordinate care.
• Monitor patient status, ECMO circuit, and troubleshoot issues per policies.
