Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota is seeking an ECMO Specialist to operate and maintain ECMO circuits for patients needing extended pulmonary or cardiac support. You will work under the ECMO physician and coordinator, coordinating with the care team to monitor patients, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high-quality care.

Minimum one year ICU/critical care experience as RN or RT is required; additional RN or RT credentials and BLS/ACLS/PALS enhance candidacy.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year ICU or Critical Care experience as RN or RT.
• Two years ICU/Critical Care experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain ECMO circuit and equipment for long-term pulmonary or cardiac support.
• Collaborate with ECMO Physician, ECMO Coordinator, and health care team to plan and deliver care.
• Adhere to ECMO policies and procedures and ensure patient safety.
