Job summary

CoreSite is seeking a Director of Construction for the East Region to lead a team of Construction Project Managers and drive delivery of high-value data-center initiatives. You will oversee scope, schedule, budget, safety, commissioning, and turnover while shaping governance and staffing across markets.

The role demands deep experience in mission-critical facilities, CSA/MEP construction, and executive communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible construction management experience.
• 5+ years of experience managing project managers or construction professionals.
• Experience managing CSA and MEP construction required.
• Data center experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, develop, and manage a team of Construction Project Managers.
• Directly manage large-scale, high-value, and strategically significant construction projects.
• Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, commissioning, and turnover.
• Manage staffing, workload balancing, and resource allocation across markets and projects.
• Escalate risks, schedule impacts, budget variances, and contractor performance issues.
• Establish PM standards, governance, reporting, and stage-gate reviews.
• Lead executive-level project reviews and portfolio reporting.
• Support annual capital planning, forecasting, and long-range initiatives.
• Oversee all construction phases from pre-construction to closeout.
• Collaborate to develop business cases and secure project approvals.
• Track portfolio KPIs including budget, schedule, safety, and delivery.
