Job summary

CoreSite is seeking a Director of Construction to lead a team of Construction Project Managers and oversee a portfolio of capital projects across multiple markets. You will drive delivery excellence, governance, and strategic initiatives while ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and budget discipline.

The role requires 10+ years in construction management, CSA/MEP experience, and a strong track record with data-center projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible construction management experience.
• 5+ years managing project managers or construction professionals.
• Experience managing CSA and MEP construction.
• Data center experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, develop, and manage a team of Construction Project Managers.
• Directly manage large-scale, high-value construction projects.
• Oversee scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, commissioning, and turnover.
• Manage staffing, workload balancing, and resource allocation across markets.
• Escalate risks, schedule impacts, and budget variances to executives.
• Establish PM standards, governance, reporting, and stage-gate reviews.
• Lead executive project reviews and portfolio reporting.
• Support capital planning, forecasting, and long-range development.
• Oversee pre-construction, bidding, contractor selection, and closeout.
• Collaborate with internal groups on business cases and approvals.
• Track portfolio KPIs including budget, schedule, safety, and delivery.
• Develop succession plans for Project Managers.
• Drive process improvements and cost optimization.
• Promote CoreSite culture and values.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.
