Job summary

Forward Air Corporation in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely load/unload freight, stage shipments, and track cargo using handheld scanners. Certified operators with 3+ years dock experience preferred.

This full-time onsite role runs Monday–Friday, 5am–1pm, with OT as needed; candidates must meet OSHA and safety standards and be able to lift up to 75 lbs with assistance.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Certification/licensure: Valid forklift certification/licensure required.
• Experience: 3+ years of dock or warehouse experience required.
• Communication: Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Physical/technical: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs with assistance and operate MHE.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using sit-down/stand-up forklifts and other MHE.
• Move, stage, sort, and position freight between dock doors and warehouses.
• Pick, pack, and prepare items for shipping.
• Assist drivers with loading/unloading following safety procedures.
• Label, scan, and track freight with handheld devices and company systems.
• Identify damaged freight and report safety or equipment concerns.
