Forward Air Corp. is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely load, unload, stage, and move freight in a multimodal terminal environment. The role emphasizes accurate documentation and adherence to safety standards.

The position requires 3+ years of dock/warehouse experience, forklift certification, and the ability to communicate effectively in English. Schedule is Mon-Fri, 5pm-1am, onsite, with potential overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Valid forklift certification/licensure (or ability to obtain) required.
• 3+ years of dock or warehouse experience required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing, to understand safety and operational instructions.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using sit-down/stand-up forklifts and reach trucks, and other MHE such as pallet jacks, carts, and dollies.
• Move, stage, sort, and position freight between dock doors, trailers, and designated areas.
• Pick, pack, and prepare items for shipping and delivery.
• Assist drivers with loading/unloading following dock and safety procedures.
• Label, scan, and track freight using handheld devices and company systems.
