Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California is seeking an E-commerce Associate in San Jose, CA. You will process and ship merchandise, create product listings, and enhance the overall customer experience.

Responsibilities include managing stock shipping, updating listings with accurate descriptions and images, testing merchandise for quality, and meeting daily posting quotas under supervision. Requires 2–4 years of retail/customer service experience and strong computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills of the English language.
• Excellent computer and technology skills, with a focus on Windows Operating Systems (10 or higher) and all Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Knowledge of online selling platforms and proficiency in Photoshop is preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
• Ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
• Experience in identifying high-quality and designer brand merchandise.
• Must have 2-4 years of customer service and/or retail experience.

Responsibilities

• Process and ship sold merchandise in a timely manner.
• Create and update product listings with accurate descriptions, images, and specs.
• Coordinate stock shipping, scheduling, and fulfill orders.
• Select high-value merchandise for sale on the online platform.
• Test items for functionality or authenticity before posting (electronics, jewelry).
• Photograph and present merchandise attractively for listings.
• Provide customer support via email, messages, and phone.
• Maintain accuracy in written and verbal tasks.
• Meet daily posting quotas and sales targets as directed by the Supervisor.
• Collaborate with District Sales Manager, Operations Manager, and team.
