Job summary

AutoNation seeks an experienced E-Commerce Sales Manager to lead the online sales team and drive growth in new and used vehicle channels. You will recruit, train, coach, and retain top sales associates while pushing performance against e-lead conversions, appointments, and profit targets.

In this role you will manage day-to-day online and showroom traffic, partner with leadership to plan inventory, optimize pricing, and uphold a best-in-class customer experience across digital and in-store

Responsibilities

• Lead yourself and the team to support AutoNation’s Vision and Mission
• Set a clear vision and goals for the sales team to achieve targets for online and showroom sales and profit
• Engage and motivate the team to meet performance expectations and best-practice processes
• Drive the business with hands-on involvement in day-to-day operations
• Ensure e-leads are answered promptly and appointments set when possible
• Follow up with e-leads through their research phase until vehicle purchase
• Transition customers smoothly from phone/internet to in-store experience
• Negotiate with sales associates to explain vehicle options and pricing
• Appraise vehicles for trade
• Manage showroom, e-commerce, and phone traffic
• Collaborate with General Manager on inventory planning and management
• Assist in controlling expenses for New and Used Vehicle Departments
• Analyze business performance and develop action plans to improve outcomes
