Job summary

Whole Foods Market seeks an Associate Team Leader to support the Team Leader in delivering an exceptional checkout experience and efficient grocery delivery and pickup services. You will oversee daily operations, manage capacity and labor, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

You will develop Team Members, participate in hiring, and promote store initiatives while aligning with WFM leadership principles. A strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction is essential.

Qualifications

• 18+ months retail experience including 6+ months of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Delivers outstanding customer experience; holds Team Members accountable for service.
• Establishes balance between in-store customer service and online orders.
• Monitors customer flow and assigns service tasks accordingly.
• Manages in-store and online order capacity within labor budget.
• Keeps abreast of competitor and industry trends influencing operations.
• Responds effectively to customer questions and concerns.
• Collaborates with department leaders and partners (1P/3P, Amazon drivers).
• Fosters a positive teamwork environment and morale.
• Maintains safety and security standards for Team Members.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and handles special projects.
• Coaches and mentors Team Members to reduce turnover.
• Keeps workspaces clean and organized (staging areas, coolers).
• Monitors equipment security (MSRs, phones, counters).
• Identifies process improvement opportunities.
• Communicates WFM values and leadership principles.
