Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking an Ecommerce Associate for our San Diego thrift store. You will select high value merchandise from the ARC Center to list online and ensure a steady store supply.

Responsibilities include testing items for functionality or authenticity, photographing items, and using listing/shipping tools such as Sure Done, Ship Station, and Terapeak. You will handle phone and email support and work with the District Sales Manager to meet daily posting quotas

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Demonstrated competency in skill area as indicated by verifiable training and/or experience.
• Ability to read and write and to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.

• Basic understanding of third-party research software, Terapeak; including the ability to use listing and shipping software, Sure Done, Ship Station.
• Ability to use listing and shipment software at a fast pace.
• Assisting with photography of items for sale to be displayed on auction website.
• Handling phone and emailing customer support in a timely manner.
• Following up on all orders with customers in real time.
• Meeting daily posting quotas and weekly and monthly sales targets determined by Supervisor.
• Taking an active role and partnering with the District Sales Manager, Ecommerce Specialist Associate, and team members in the day-to-day operation of the ecommerce business.

Qualifications to be considered for this position:

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Demonstrated competency in skill area as indicated by verifiable training and/or experience.
• Ability to read and write and to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
• Ability to grasp, push, pull objects and move heavy objects such as household and office furniture, packages, and all other bulk items.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks.

Schedule

Our stores operate 7 days per week. Work schedules are determined by Management and employee must be flexible to always ensure adequate store coverage. Full-time associates may be scheduled to work any full-time shift including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
