Job summary

ALTAHEIGHTS is seeking a Staff Physical Therapist Assistant to support the Physical Therapist in resident care and rehabilitation activities. You will document, monitor infection control, and coordinate with the care team to ensure timely updates on progress and discharge planning.

The role requires an Associate Degree in PTA, state licensure, and proficiency with Net Health and Point Click Care. You will educate residents and families on home programs, safety techniques, and mobility goals.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Proficient in computer skills such as Net Health and Point Click Care.
• Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state and maintain CE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation in compliance with facility and payer requirements.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment with infection control and equipment maintenance.
• Assist in training Restorative Aides and participate in care conferences as needed.
• Communicate with the supervising PT to update physicians, nursing staff, and families on progress and discharge planning.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment goals, home exercise programs, and safety techniques.
• Recommend and facilitate ordering of necessary durable medical equipment to aid independence.
