Job summary

Ahwatukee Post Acute is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support the Staff Physical Therapist with resident-related care and treatment in a healthcare setting.

The PTA will follow the Physical Therapist's directions, document accurately for compliance, maintain a safe environment, and participate in rehabilitation meetings. The role involves education for residents and families, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to support discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Proficient in computer systems for health records (Net Health, Point Click Care).
• Ability to read and interpret technical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by Physical Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation per requirements.
• Maintain safe treatment environment with infection control.
• Assist with training Restorative Aides.
• Communicate with supervising PT for progress and discharge planning.
• Educate residents and families on goals and home programs.
