Job summary

Carle Health in Illinois is hiring a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to implement the plan of care under a supervising physical therapist. You'll work with patients of all ages and serve as a clinical resource for staff and students.

Educating patients and families, documenting per policy, and meeting DNV Hip/Knee certification requirements are part of the role. A sign-on bonus is offered along with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required in Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – IDFPR (Illinois).
• BLS within 30 days (AHA).
• Complete required CE for DNV Hip and Knee Certification.
• Pass board exam at next available date.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students and other health care providers using effective teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist's plan of care and adjusts treatment after communication with the evaluating therapist.
• Produces documentation per CTSCP67 policy.
• Completes annual education for DNV Hip and Knee program.
• Implements intervention plans based on the PT plan using functional activities.
• Uses standardized outcome measures to reflect functional performance.
• Completes documentation and collaborates with the care team.
• Communicates changes in patient status and discharge planning with the medical team.
