Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Illinois IDFPR
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association
• Board exam on the next available date must be completed
• Continuing education related to total joint replacement as assigned by the organization

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, families, caregivers, students and other health care providers using relevant and effective teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist's plan of care and adjusts treatment based on patient response and evidence after communicating with the evaluating therapist.
• Produces documentation in accordance with the Clinical Documentation Policy (CTSCP67).
• Completes annual education to comply with DNV Hip and Knee Replacement Program requirements.
• Implements intervention plans according to the Physical Therapist's plan of care and collaborates with the care team to ensure patient needs are met.
