Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to implement the plan of care established by the treating physical therapist across patients of all ages. The role acts as a clinical resource and demonstrates professional service delivery while guiding staff and students.

The position includes a sign-on bonus and requires an active PTA license (IL/IDFPR) and BLS. Candidates will complete required CEUs and participate in organization-mandated training related to joint replacement programs.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate's Degree or equivalent in Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with IDFPR/IL or equivalent licensure.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students and other health care providers using effective teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist's plan of care and adjusts treatment based on patient response with documentation of communication in daily notes.
• Produces documentation in accordance with Clinical Documentation Policy.
