Job summary

Carle Health seeks a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to implement the plan of care under the supervising therapist, serving patients of all ages. The role emphasizes quality care and acts as a clinical resource for staff and students.

Responsibilities include patient and family education, documentation in accordance with CTSCP67, and participation in required continuing education for DNV hip and knee programs.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistance required.
• Licensed PTA with active IDFPR license.
• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA).
• Completion of required continuing education for acute stroke care.
• Must successfully complete board exam at next available date.
• DNV Hip and Knee Certification requirements training may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students, and other health care providers using relevant teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist's plan of care and adjusts treatment based on patient response after communicating with evaluating therapist.
• Produces documentation in accordance with CTSCP67.
• Completes annual education to comply with DNV Hip and Knee Program requirements.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
