Job summary

Carle Health seeks a Certified Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support patient rehabilitation across care teams. You will educate patients and families, implement therapy plans, and document progress in the EMR.

Role requires licensure as PTA in Illinois, BLS within 30 days, and ongoing continuing education aligned with care standards. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assisting is required.
• Licensed PTA in Illinois (IDFPR) or eligible to obtain license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students and other health care providers using effective teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist's plan of care and adjusts treatment based on patient response after communicating with the evaluating therapist.
• Produces documentation in accordance with the Clinical Documentation Policy CTSCP67.
• Completes annual education to comply with DNV Hip and Knee Replacement Program requirements, if applicable.
• Coordinates with PT and communicates patient progress and treatment recommendations to referring providers.
