Job summary

Carle Health seeks a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to evaluate and treat patients of all ages, following the plan of care and documenting daily notes. The PTA collaborates with therapists, educators, and staff to ensure high-quality care.

The role offers a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for moves over 50 miles. A BLS credential and Illinois PTA licensure are required, with competitive hourly compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in PTA required.
• Licensed PTA in Illinois (IDFPR).
• BLS certification within 30 days - AHA.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, families, caregivers, students, and other health care providers using effective teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist's plan of care and adjusts treatment based on patient response after communicating with the evaluating therapist.
• Produces documentation in accordance with CTSCP67 policy and daily notes.
• Completes required annual education for DNV Hip and Knee Replacement Program.
• Provides therapeutic interventions including exercise, gait/balance training, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation.
• Administers aquatic therapy and documents in the therapy EMR; coordinates with PT on interventions; communicates progress to referring providers.
