Job summary

Carle Health seeks a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to join our rehabilitation team on-site. You will implement the plan of care under supervision, educate patients and families, monitor responses, and document progress to support functional recovery.

Required qualifications include an Associate’s Degree for PTA, Illinois PTA license, BLS certification, and ongoing CE for acute stroke care. A sign-on bonus is offered along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in PTA required.
• Licensed PTA in Illinois (IDFPR) and BLS within 30 days.
• Continuing education requirements for acute stroke care and hip/knee program compliance as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, families, and caregivers using effective methods.
• Follows and adapts the plan of care under therapist supervision.
• Documents progress per clinical policies and ensures accurate records.
• Collaborates with the care team and communicates changes to the supervising therapist.
