Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a driven Sales Representative in Reno, NV to build relationships, hunt for new clients, and deliver value-added packaging solutions. You will navigate a fast-paced environment, identify opportunities, and coordinate with branches to meet customer expectations.

The role requires segmentation of targets, a focus on growth, and the ability to travel locally as needed; a strong track record in packaging sales is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of demonstrated sales experience within packaging/containers highly preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong demonstrated track record.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate persistence and overcome obstacles; measure self against standard of excellence; take calculated risks to accomplish goals.
• Be driven and responsible for actions; maintain commitments and follow up with prospects and clients.
• Architect and articulate packaging solutions delivered through our distribution model by planning strategic development of a core client base and always be prospecting for new clients.
• Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of key customers and targets.
• Identify cost savings gaps and opportunities with the customer’s environment and utilize resources to build solutions and document successes.
• Establish a sales budget, strategies and tactical sales plans by product line, customer, and market.
• Follow policies, guidelines and pricing for customer accounts and service.
• Provide timely feedback to management regarding service failures or customer concerns.
• Partner with branch operations to meet and exceed customer expectations.
