Job summary

Asset Living is seeking a Community Manager to oversee the operations of an apartment community, ensuring leasing, maintenance, and financial performance under the supervision of the Regional Manager.

This on-site leadership role requires experience in affordable housing programs, strong staff management, and adherence to Fair Housing guidelines; expect a hands-on, fast-paced environment with budgeting and resident relations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred or four years’ housing experience.
• Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
• Ability to understand and perform all on-site software functions; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Personnel management and on-site staff development.
• Regular/daily onsite attendance is required.
• Screen, hire, train, coach, and develop on-site staff.
• Develop yearly operating budgets/forecasts.
• Monitor rent collections and deposits reconciliation; ensure timely processing.
• Lead maintenance and administrative management; ensure timely reporting.
• Plan marketing and leasing strategies and ensure lease signings.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
