Job summary

Carter Lumber Company is seeking an Inside Sales Rep to be the face of the store, assisting customers with product information, project advice, and transactions. You will also follow up on quotes, qualify new leads, and support the Outside Sales Reps while helping manage inventory.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales or customer service within interior building materials.
• Familiarity with building materials and product knowledge.
• Friendly, outgoing personality with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in-store with product information and project needs.
• Produce estimates for packages and projects and process transactions.
• Follow up on online quotes and qualify new leads via cold calling.
• Support Outside Sales Reps and assist in inventory control (cycle counts, shortages/overages).
• Complete training on products, POS system, and paperwork.
