UnitedHealth Group in Denver seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to implement treatment plans, coach patients through active and passive exercises, and support mobility and functional training in home care settings.

You will work under a supervising PT, adhere to state laws, participate in care coordination with the health team, and help families understand therapy goals. A valid PTA license and weekend availability are required; CPR is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.
• Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to perform physical tasks required for patient care, including lifting, transferring, and assisting with mobility.

Responsabilités

• Follow all state laws governing provision of physical therapy in home care and follow the plan of care defined by the supervising PT.
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, muscle re-education, gait, functional, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observes, records, and reports patient responses and changes to the supervising PT and care team; coordinates care with others as appropriate.
• Instructs patient, family, caregiver, and other health team members in therapy within the PTA scope.
• Function in diverse home environments and treat patients regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, or disability.
