Job summary

Encore Global in Austin, TX is seeking a Technician to set up and operate basic audiovisual systems in a hospitality setting, ensuring smooth events and high guest satisfaction.

You will work under the supervision of an Operations Manager, perform equipment checks, and collaborate with hotel staff to meet client needs. This role requires a high school diploma, some AV experience, and a valid driver’s license, with opportunities for growth through Encore's training programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Associate’s degree preferred.
• 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• 1 year of audio-visual experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required for team members that may operate Company vehicles.
• External applicants must meet/validate and achieve/complete all training and certifications within 60 days of start date.
• Internal applicants must meet/complete all training and certification requirements as determined by Encore’s Global Learning Training Program.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and break down basic audiovisual equipment for events.
• Exceed expectations of internal and external customers and maintain positive client relationships.
• Troubleshoot equipment and software issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Complete accurate systems entry and paperwork; coordinate with staff and vendors as needed.
• Assist in finalizing invoices and utilizing floor up-selling techniques where appropriate.
