Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• Must be age 18 or over
• At least 3 months of verified care experience or credential level I
• At least 15 clock hours of training annually
• Knowledge of childcare basics
• Ability to use appropriate discipline procedures
• Leadership and management skills
• Ability to make appropriate decisions and solve problems
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Follows and enforces all Colorado Department of Early Childhood licensing requirements.
• supervises and engages with students during program times.
• Communicates with parents, students, school staff, district staff and coworkers.
• Maintains safe conditions for all students and staff.
• Markets the program for before/after care and full days.
• Attends professional development trainings as required.
• Assists with implementing quality lesson plans and program activities.
• Assists with maintenance and storage of equipment and supplies.
• Contributes ideas for enrichment activities and program quality.
• Plans and executes activities and field trips for full day programming.
• Attends monthly program staff meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
