Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking a Before and After School Leader to assist the program director in planning and implementing the child care program. You will help foster strong community relations with families and school staff and support high-quality programming.

As part of the team, you will supervise students, ensure safety, and contribute to lesson planning, program marketing, and staff development to meet licensing standards and district expectations.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• Leader must be age 18 or over.
• At least three months (455 hours) of verified experience in care and supervision of four or more children.
• Current early childhood credential level I or higher, or equivalent per district policy.
• Each year, June 1 through May 31, at least 15 clock hours of training.
• Knowledge of most aspects of childcare.
• Ability to develop and utilize discipline procedures.
• Leadership and management skill.
• Ability to make appropriate decisions and solve problems effectively.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Current CPR/First Aid Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Follow Colorado Department of Early Childhood licensing requirements.
• Supervise and engage with students during program times.
• Communicate effectively with parents, students, staff, and district personnel.
• Maintain safe conditions for all students and staff.
• Promote and market the program for before/after care and full days.
• Attend and participate in professional development trainings as required.
• Assist to implement quality lesson plans for daily operations.
• Assist with maintenance, storage, and repair of equipment.
• Contribute ideas for enrichment activities and program quality.
• Create and implement activities and field trips for full day programming.
• Attend monthly program staff meetings as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
