Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking a Before & After School Director to plan and supervise its child care program, ensuring licensing compliance and quality programming for students. The role emphasizes staff supervision, community relations, and effective program operations.

The position requires leadership, strong communication, and experience with school-age children, with daily and monthly duties including staff scheduling, meetings, and licensing adherence.

Qualifications

• Must be age 21 or over.
• Verification of qualifications must be in the employee’s Staff Records File.
• Current CPR/First Aid Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Follow Colorado Department of Early Childhood licensing requirements daily.
• Create and implement quality lesson plans for program operation.
• Open and close the program daily.
• Supervise and engage with students.
• Plan and facilitate developmentally appropriate activities and field trips.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and staff scheduling.
• Attend monthly director and staff meetings and participate in licensing trainings.
• Hire and supervise program staff; evaluate performance periodically.
