Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking a Before & After School Director to plan and supervise the child care program, develop community relations, and ensure quality programming. The role involves staff supervision, licensing compliance, and curriculum planning in a Denver-area program.

Responsibilities include daily operations, staff hiring, scheduling, and ongoing professional development to meet licensing standards and district expectations.

Qualifications

• Must be age 21 or over.
• Four-year college degree or equivalent, or 60 credit hours with related care experience.
• 60 clock hours training or other qualifications in school-age care as applicable.
• Current CPR/First Aid Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Computer skills and basic office software proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Follow and enforce licensing requirements daily.
• Create and implement quality lesson plans for program operation.
• Open and close the program regularly.
• Supervise and engage with students during program hours.
• Plan activities and field trips for full and partial days.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and staff scheduling.
• Attend monthly director meetings and coordinate with district staff.
• Interview, hire, and supervise program staff.
• Evaluate staff performance annually and after 60 days.
• Create and distribute weekly staff schedules.
• Maintain licensing-compliant staff files and conduct meetings.
• Promote the program to families and community partners.
• Participate in professional development trainings as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
