Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• The leader must be 18 or older
• Demonstrate ability to work with children
• Annual training requirement: 15 clock hours (June 1–May 31)
• Knowledge of most aspects of childcare
• Ability to develop and utilize appropriate discipline procedures
• Leadership and management skills
• Ability to make appropriate decisions and solve problems
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Current CPR/First Aid Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days

Responsibilities

• Follows and enforces Colorado licensing requirements (Daily, 15% time)
• Supervises and engages with students during program hours (Daily, 15%)
• Communicates effectively with parents, students, staff (Daily, 10%)
• Maintains safe conditions for students and staff (Daily, 10%)
• Markets the program for before/after care and full days (Daily, 5%)
• Attends professional development trainings (Daily, 5%)
• Assists to implement quality lesson plans (Monthly, 15%)
• Assists with maintenance and storage of equipment (Monthly, 5%)
• Contributes ideas for enrichment activities (Monthly, 5%)
• Creates activities and field trips for full day programming (Monthly, 5%)
• Attends monthly staff meetings (Monthly, 5%)
• Performs other duties as assigned (Daily, 5%)
