Job summary

The Spring Of Tampa Bay Inc. seeks an Outreach Advocate to provide empowerment-based advocacy, safety planning, counseling and crisis interventions to program participants in Tampa, FL. You will manage intakes, facilitate groups, and coordinate services with community resources, ensuring confidential, client-centered support.

You will also assist with data entry, reporting, and training new volunteers while maintaining participant files and completing required documentation in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field preferred plus 1 year of related experience.
• Bi-lingual required (English and Spanish).
• Must pass and maintain a Level II background check.

Responsibilities

• Greet Outreach participants and schedule with advocates.
• Answer hotline calls and provide safety planning and referrals.
• Maintain waiting areas, conference room and break room.
• Process intake documents and assist with data entry.
• Coordinate services with community resources and refer participants and children to needed supports.
• Facilitate groups and train volunteers or interns.
