Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a human service‑related field or one year counseling or crisis intervention experience in lieu of degree.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience working with diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and mental health backgrounds.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Windows-based systems and basic database skills.
• Completion of required trainings within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis counseling via telephone, chat, and in‑person as needed.
• Offer crisis intervention, safety planning, and connection to follow‑up care services.
• Advocate and refer for victims of crime, including sexual assault and domestic violence.
• Maintain confidential, accurate call documentation per standards.
• Demonstrate de‑escalation, motivational interviewing, and active listening techniques.
• Participate in PQI processes and maintain data quality for outcomes.
