Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science preferred or two years of related social service experience.
• Experience in crisis intervention and trauma-informed approaches preferred.
• Strong documentation and record-keeping abilities.
• Comfort with client intake, safety planning, and advocacy.
• Ability to navigate shelters and community resources.

Responsibilities

• Present a welcoming, supportive presence in the shelter.
• Conduct intakes and perform risk and safety assessments.
• Assist with belongings, tours, and daily shelter operations.
• Provide trauma-informed crisis intervention and referrals.
• Document survivor services in the agency database.
• Maintain cleanliness and health standards in common areas.
• Coordinate donations and supply needs.
• Provide information and advocacy to survivors in person and on the hotline.
• Attend weekly case conferences and supervision sessions.
