Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking an Associate for Transaction Advisory/Financial Due Diligence in Atlanta, GA. The role focuses on financial due diligence, earnings quality assessment, and data synthesis to support deal decisions.

You will deliver rigorous analyses and collaborate across teams to craft insightful client recommendations. The position requires 2–3 years of audit experience, with CPA or in process, and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of audit experience at a top accounting firm; preferred 1 year in financial accounting due diligence.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong project management skills.
• Flexibility to work as both a team member and individual contributor.

Responsibilities

• Assist with core financial due diligence, identifying key risks and deal breakers and evaluating the transaction.
• Analyze financial statements, synthesize data, and present observations to target management.
• Assess quality of earnings, assets, and cash flows.
• Construct deal-oriented reports and presentations; articulate findings for valuation, sale, and purchase considerations.
• Participate in meetings with target management and client personnel; support day-to-day execution.
• Build and maintain client relationships and pursue business development opportunities.
