Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal seeks a Senior Associate for Transaction Advisory/Financial Due Diligence to support private equity and corporate clients on buy-side and sell-side analyses. You will evaluate earnings quality, cash flows, and working capital, providing insights to drive deal decisions and client discussions.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in audit and financial due diligence, a degree in accounting, CPA (or in progress), and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years of audit and financial accounting due diligence experience at a top accounting firm, with at least 1 year in financial due diligence.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting and/or related major; CPA preferred or in progress.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting; advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist with core financial due diligence, identifying risks and deal breakers and assessing the business against industry benchmarks.
• Analyze income statements, balance sheets, cash flows, and key data; synthesize into actionable insights for discussions.
• Assess earnings quality, net assets and cash flows of the target.
• Construct deal-oriented reports and presentations highlighting key findings for valuations and agreements.
• Participate in meetings with target management and client personnel; support day-to-day execution.
• Contribute to client relationship building and business development opportunities.
