Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal seeks a Manager to join its Transaction Advisory Group across multiple U.S. cities, including Atlanta. The role leads buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence, assessing earnings quality, cash flows, working capital, and forecasts while coordinating with management and advisors.

Responsibilities include mentoring Associates, managing budgets, and delivering full due diligence reports. Requires CPA or in progress, strong US GAAP/SEC knowledge, and exceptional communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–8 years of audit and financial accounting due diligence experience at a top accounting firm.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or related major.
• CPA certification or in the process of obtaining one.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong project management and mentoring abilities.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, collaborative, client-facing environments.

Responsibilities

• Counsel and mentor Associates and Senior Associates.
• Manage and prioritize team responsibilities and consult with senior team members.
• Maintain and update budget and fee analysis.
• Lead multiple projects of varying size and complexity.
• Review and evaluate project databooks.
• Generate a full due diligence report.
• Lead Quality of Earnings, P&L and Working Capital analyses.
• Communicate with clients on engagement matters and scope changes.
• Develop and propose solutions to engagement risks.
• Recruit, train, and develop junior staff.
