The South Carolina Department of Social Services in Richland County is seeking a DSS Connect Specialist to perform general casework and customer service duties in an Economic Services inbound call center. Responsibilities include answering SNAP and TANF inquiries, preparing correspondences and tracking logs, documenting case actions, and coordinating with State and County DSS staff to resolve issues.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma with 3 years related experience, or an Associate

• High School Diploma; 3 years clerical, administrative, social work, correctional, business administration, or general business experience.
• Associate Degree; 1 year clerical, administrative, social work, correctional, business administration, or general business experience.
• Bachelor's Degree or higher may substitute for required experience.

Responsabilidades

• Performs general casework and customer service duties in an Economic Services inbound call center.
• Answers constituent calls regarding SNAP and TANF benefits; escalates complaints; disseminates changes to the Economic Services Center.
• Ensures proper documentation of all cases and case actions; communicates with State and County DSS staff to facilitate action.
• Maintains automated complaint database and tracking reports; identifies county/state trends.
• Performs Red Cross shelter duty or emergency shelter duty/services as directed.
