Job summary

The State of South Carolina is seeking a DSS Connect Specialist to handle general casework and customer service in an Economic Services inbound call center. You will answer SNAP/TANF inquiries, document cases, and coordinate with the Economic Services Center to ensure timely resolution in line with laws and agency policies.

Responsibilities include maintaining databases, handling PII securely, and supporting emergency shelter duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate degree or higher preferred as substitute.
• Experience with clerical or administrative tasks and customer service.
• Ability to handle PII and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Perform general casework and customer service duties in an inbound call center.
• Respond to SNAP/TANF benefit inquiries and route issues to the appropriate center.
• Document cases and communication, maintain tracking logs, and follow agency policies.
