Job summary

YAI seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support residents at the START Resource Center in Kingston, NY. This part-time role covers Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00am to 3:00pm, working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities under OPWDD guidelines.

You will assist with personal care, daily living activities, medication administration, behavior support plans, and community engagement, while maintaining safety, dignity, and person-centered approaches.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience with individuals with IDD preferred.
• Ability to meet physical demands described in job posting.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals in activities of daily living with dignity and respect.
• Support personal goals and social integration with the community.
• Maintain safety, documentation, and adherence to program guidelines.
• Follow Behavior Support Plans and IPCs as required.
