Job summary

YAI is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for their START Resource Center in Kingston, NY. The DSP will assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach personal goals while ensuring their health and safety.

This role involves providing emotional support, supervision, and assistance with daily living activities. Both full-time and part-time positions are available with varied schedules, including weekends and nights. Competitive benefits and pay ranging from $19.00 to $22.00 per hour, based on experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to meet physical demands of position.
• Willingness to handle various bodily fluids.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals in maximizing their strengths and interests.
• Provide supervision and support in a variety of settings.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapeutic environment.

Skills

Effective written and oral communication skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Human Services
