Job summary

IGHL Inc. in Hampton Bays, NY seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support residents with developmental disabilities and assist with daily living activities. You will help with ADLs, monitor health and safety, and accompany residents on community activities.

The role requires NYS driver’s license, AMAP/SCIP trainings, and CPR certification; you will document care and participate in shift teamwork to deliver person-centered support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid NYS driver's license required.
• SCIP and AMAP certifications must be completed within 6 months of hire.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform ADL tasks.
• Willingness to work collaboratively in a residential setting.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications as per OPWDD AMAP/SCIP certifications.
• Provides hands-on assistance with ADLs and supervises self-care routines.
• Maintains logs and documentation accurately and timely.
• Provides transportation for community activities and medical appointments as needed.
• Attends staff meetings and completes required trainings.
• Participates in recreation and leisure activities with residents.
