Job summary

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission at the Denton State Supported Living Center is seeking a Direct Support Professional III to provide direct care, habilitation, and individualized support to residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or 6 months of work experience.
• Six (6) months of experience in working with people who have mental health/intellectual developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct care and support services to individuals and documents progress for team communication.
• Provides training and mentorship to new DSPs and may serve as shift/team lead when needed.
• Assists with healthcare needs, medication administration, and safety monitoring as part of a team.
