Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) in Mexia, Texas, seeks a Direct Support Professional III to provide direct care and support at the Mexia State Supported Living Center. Candidates should have a HS diploma or GED with preference for DSP experience and background in behavior programs for individuals with intellectual developmental disabilities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or 6 months of work experience.
• Six months of experience working with people with mental health/ID disabilities is preferred.
• Experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) is preferred.
• Experience implementing behavior programs for persons with intellectual developmental disabilities.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct care and support to individuals.
• Assist with daily living activities, monitor health conditions, and report changes.
• Participate in development and implementation of person-centered plans and treatment programs.
• Document observations and progress in the individual’s plan and records.
• Lead or mentor new DSPs as part of the team when assigned.
