Job summary

Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) in Corpus Christi seeks a Direct Support Professional III-Group Home for evenings. The role supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a group home setting, including routine care, training, documentation, and collaboration with the care team.

The position requires driving a state-owned vehicle, works regular night shifts, and may include additional evening shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or 6 months of work experience.
• Six months of experience with people who have mental health/IDDL.
• Experience as a DSP.
• Experience implementing behavior programs for persons with intellectual developmental disabilities.
• Experience writing reports.

Responsibilities

• Direct care and support services to individuals.
• Implement habilitation and rehabilitation, behavior management, crisis intervention and training.
• Document information on individuals’ life and daily activities.
