Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Direct Support Professional II in Denton, TX, at the Timberhill - Residential Care facility. The DSP II provides care, training, and support to individuals with intellectual disabilities within a team, following established treatment plans and safety procedures.

You will work Morning, Evening, or Night shifts, with potential overtime and weekend hours.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
• Fingerprint background check and pre-employment screenings required.

Responsabilités

• Attends work on a regular basis and may be required to work specific shifts or rotating schedules.
• Implements habilitation and rehabilitation, behavior management, crisis intervention, and treatment programs.
• Teaches life skills such as feeding, dressing, and personal hygiene.
• Participates in development of the individual's treatment plan.
• Observes individuals for signs of disease or adverse conditions and documents observations.
• Provides assistance in transporting individuals to activities and in emergencies.
• Administers first aid and CPR when needed.
• Evacuates individuals during emergencies and assists in disaster readiness.
• Performs direct care and support services and may mentor new DSP staff.
