Job summary

BlueLinx Corporation is seeking professional drivers to join our team. The role focuses on transporting and delivering building and industrial products across the United States, with a responsibility to secure loads and adhere to all safety and DOT requirements.

We offer guaranteed daily pay of $249, benefits, and a stable first-shift schedule. Candidates should have a valid Class A CDL, a minimum of 12 months of recent tractor-trailer experience, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• CDL required with valid Class A license.
• Minimum 12 months of verifiable tractor trailer experience in the past 3 years.
• Clean driving record and knowledge of DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Properly secure loads using straps; no tarping.
• Deliver freight accurately and on time; manage customer returns as needed.
• Process Proof of Delivery and communicate issues professionally.
• Maintain daily safety checklist and complete required DOT inspections.
• Maintain electronic trip reports and complete all documents.
• Direct unloading by customers when required.

What You’ll Deliver

• Properly secure loads. NO tarping – ONLY strapping
• Double/Triple endorsement preferred
• Accurate and timely delivery of freight and handling of customer product returns when requiredManage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers
• Interact professionally with customers and communicate customer issues
• Maintain daily safety checklist and perform all required DOT inspections
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports
• Direct the unloading by customers, when required
  

How You’ll Deliver

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 21 years of age
• 12 months of recent verifiable tractor trailer experience in the past 3 years
• Safe Driving Record
• Ability to secure loads
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
