Job summary

The Department of Licensing (DOL) Union Gap office is hiring a Licensing Services Representative (LSR2). This is a non-permanent, in-person role Tue–Sat that supports public safety by issuing driver licenses, enhanced licenses, and ID cards.

You will be trained to resolve issues with current policies and provide courteous service to every applicant. As the face of DOL, you will work across offices, complete training for EDL/EID issuance, and rely on sound judgment to determine eligibility while

Qualifications

• Two years of direct customer service experience with the public.
• One year of experience using electronic systems and form templates.
• Typing speed of 30 wpm or greater.
• U.S. Citizenship.
• Valid WA driver license and five years driving experience.
• Your valid driver license must have no restrictions other than corrective lenses, or you must have the ability to obtain one upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Verify authenticity of documents, evaluate information, and issue licenses/cards in compliance with laws.
• Perform final review of Enhanced Driver License/Identity Card applications to determine eligibility.
• Collect DOL licensing fees.
• Approve or deny (pending) enhanced applications and issue EDL/EID to eligible applicants.
• Use sound judgement to assess customer qualifications for licensing issuance.
• Travel to other offices and training; travel may require overnight stays.
• Conduct driving skills tests while riding in the applicant’s vehicle.
