Job summary

State of Washington Dept. of Licensing in Kennewick is seeking a Licensing Services Representative (LSR2) with strong customer service skills to join our team. This is a non-permanent, in-person role working Tuesday through Saturday at the Kennewick Driver Licensing Office.

You will receive extensive training to issue driver licenses, enhanced driver licenses, and identification cards. The position emphasizes accuracy, regulatory compliance, and delivering excellent public service to Washington

Qualifications

• Two years of direct customer service experience.
• Typing speed of 30 wpm or greater.
• U.S. Citizenship and a valid WA driver license with five years of driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Verify authenticity of documents and determine licensing eligibility.
• Perform final review of enhanced license/ID applications.
• Collect licensing fees.
• Approve or deny enhanced applications and issue EDL/EID.
• Assess customer qualifications for licensing issuance.
• Travel to other offices for training or coverage.
• Conduct driving skills tests in the applicant’s vehicle.
