Job summary

State of Washington’s Department of Licensing seeks a Licensing Services Representative (LSR2) for the Queen Anne office. The role emphasizes accurate document verification, customer service, and in-person licensing duties across driver licenses and IDs.

Responsibilities include reviewing enhanced licenses, collecting fees, and issuing licenses. Training supports independent decision-making and travel to other offices as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years of direct customer service experience.
• One year using electronic systems and form templates to input data.
• Typing speed of 30 wpm or greater.
• U.S. citizenship.
• WA driver license with five years of driving experience and no restricted license.
• Ability to work at King County offices and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Verify authenticity of documents, evaluate information, and issue licenses/IDs in compliance with laws.
• Perform final review of enhanced driver license applications to determine eligibility.
• Collect licensing fees.
• Approve or deny enhanced applications and issue EDL/EID to eligible applicants.
• Use sound judgement to assess customer qualifications for licensing issuance.
• Travel, including relief to other offices and training.
• Conduct driving skills tests while riding in the applicant’s vehicle.
